Connect Your AI Assistant to Trademark Monitoring

You do not need to learn a new system. If you already use an AI assistant, you can connect it to IP Defender. After a short sign-in, your assistant can help with trademark monitoring for your brands.

Just type what you want in plain language. Ask it to watch a brand, add a country, check alerts, pause monitoring, or change settings. You stay in control because the assistant only works after you connect your IP Defender account and allow access.

Quick start

  1. Open your AI assistant and find the place for apps, tools, connectors, or MCP.
  2. Paste this address: https://www.ipdefender.eu/mcp/oauth
  3. Sign in to IP Defender and allow access.
  4. Ask your assistant to set up trademark monitoring or review your alerts.

What the assistant can do for you

Once connected, your AI assistant works as a simple helper for your IP Defender account. It can:

  1. Create and start trademark monitoring for your brands
  2. Choose or change the countries that should be watched
  3. Review alerts and explain what needs your attention
  4. Update, pause, or stop monitoring when you ask
  5. Adjust account and alert settings for you

You can still use the IP Defender website at any time. The AI assistant is simply an easier way to manage the same trademark monitoring service.

What you can ask your AI assistant

Use your own words. These are only examples:

  1. Set up trademark monitoring for my brand in the United States and the European Union.
  2. Show me my current watches and any alerts I should look at.
  3. Add another country to the watch for this brand.
  4. Pause monitoring for now, then confirm what is still active.
  5. Every Monday, check my IP Defender alerts and tell me only if something needs action.

If your AI assistant does not connect

  1. Confirm you pasted the full address: https://www.ipdefender.eu/mcp/oauth
  2. Finish the IP Defender sign-in window. If it was blocked, allow pop-ups for that assistant and try again.
  3. Start a new chat after the connection is saved. Old chats may not see the new connection.
  4. If the assistant has no place to add a custom connection, your plan may not include it yet. Try another assistant from this page, or use the IP Defender website directly.

Use any AI assistant that supports MCP and OAuth 2

IP Defender uses two open standards: MCP for the connection and OAuth 2 for secure sign-in. Any AI assistant that supports both can connect to IP Defender for trademark monitoring. You do not need a special app from us.

If your assistant asks for a server address, paste:

A login window should open. Sign in to IP Defender, or create an account, then allow access. This means you approve the connection once, and you can remove it later in the assistant's settings.

How to connect your AI assistant

The label in Settings is not always the same. Look for Connectors, Apps, Tools, or MCP. Then add a custom connection and paste the address above.

  1. Open your AI assistant in the browser or in its official app.
  2. Open Settings. On a phone, this is often your profile picture or a gear icon.
  3. Find Connectors, Apps, Tools, Extensions, or MCP, then choose Add, Connect, or Custom.
  4. When asked for an address or server URL, paste https://www.ipdefender.eu/mcp/oauth
  5. Sign in to IP Defender when the login screen appears, or create an account if you do not have one yet.
  6. Allow the assistant to access your monitoring. You can disconnect later in the same settings.
  7. Go back to the chat and try a simple request, such as: Watch my brand and tell me if a similar trademark is filed.

Menu names change from time to time. If you cannot find the option, search the assistant's help pages for connector, app, or MCP. You need a signed-in account with that assistant. Some free plans do not include custom connections.

Let your AI assistant check alerts on a schedule

Some assistants can run a task for you on a regular basis, like a calendar reminder. Grok is one of them. ChatGPT and Claude may also offer scheduled tasks or recurring reminders.

After IP Defender is connected, you can ask your AI assistant to check trademark monitoring every day or every week and tell you only when something needs action. Look for Tasks, Scheduled tasks, Repeat, or Recurring in the assistant's menu, then write the instruction in ordinary language.

Example: Every Monday, review my IP Defender alerts and summarize anything I should act on.

Grok

Open Grok on the web or in the X app, then sign in.

  1. Open Settings and look for Tools, Connectors, or MCP.
  2. Add a custom server or connector.
  3. Paste the IP Defender address above and continue.
  4. Sign in to IP Defender and allow access.
  5. Start a chat and ask Grok to set up or review your trademark monitoring.

Grok can also run repeating tasks. After the connection works, create a scheduled task so Grok checks your alerts on a regular basis and reports back without you having to remember.

ChatGPT

Open ChatGPT on the web or in the official app, then sign in.

  1. Open Settings, then Apps, Connectors, or Plugins.
  2. Add a custom app or connector. If you see a field for a server address, paste the IP Defender link.
  3. Complete the IP Defender sign-in and allow access.
  4. In a new chat, ask ChatGPT to manage your trademark monitoring.

If your plan includes scheduled tasks, you can ask ChatGPT to review alerts on a repeating schedule.

Claude

Open Claude on the web or in the official app, then sign in.

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Add a custom connector and paste the IP Defender address.
  3. Connect, sign in to IP Defender, and allow access.
  4. Return to the chat and ask Claude to set up or control your monitoring.

If you use Claude's recurring tasks, you can schedule a regular alert review in the same way.

Apple

On iPhone, iPad, and Mac you may use Siri, Apple Intelligence, or ChatGPT inside Apple's assistant. If that assistant lets you add a custom MCP connection with OAuth 2 sign-in, use the same IP Defender address. If Settings only lists Apple's own apps, it cannot connect yet - use ChatGPT, Grok, or Claude, or the IP Defender website.

Google

On Android phones, tablets, and the web you may use the Gemini app or Google Assistant. If Gemini lets you add a custom MCP connection with OAuth 2 sign-in, use the same IP Defender address. Gemini's Connected Apps list is a fixed catalog today, so a custom IP Defender link may not appear yet. When Google adds custom MCP with OAuth 2, the same address will work. Until then, use ChatGPT, Grok, or Claude.

Gemini can already run scheduled actions on a daily or weekly rhythm. That helps only after a custom IP Defender connection is available.

Microsoft

On Windows PCs, in the Copilot app, and at the Copilot website you may use Microsoft Copilot. If Copilot lets you add a custom MCP connection with OAuth 2 sign-in, use the same IP Defender address. Consumer Copilot usually offers only Microsoft's own plugins today. When Microsoft adds custom MCP with OAuth 2 for ordinary accounts, the same address will work. Until then, use ChatGPT, Grok, or Claude, or the IP Defender website.

Connecting an assistant does not replace your IP Defender account. The assistant uses the access you grant, and you can remove it at any time in the assistant's settings.
